Prep A

It has been a really busy start to the year in Prep A. Learning about where everything is, how to take care of your belongings, finding and making friends to play with along as all the classwork we need to do, results in some very tired preps and teachers! Please make sure that your children are getting plenty of sleep. Homework has started off slowly with small weekly tasks to begin with. This is because we recognise how tiring the day already is for the children. They also need time to play and rest so that they are ready to do it all once again when they return to school.

In class we have been busy beginning to learn to joins sounds together to make words. The children have been doing this is all different ways including writing in books and whiteboards, using magnetic letters and play dough.

Thank you to all the mums and dads who are doing a great job of taking care of your little ones at home. At school I am excited to watch them blossom in to little learners.
